UDOS Professional Polisher Update: Now 5 in 1 Tool

Detailers talked…we listened.

Getting customer feedback is critically important to everything we do.

As a manufacturer of detailing supplies for over 40 years, the Lake Country Manufacturing team knows that real world testing and talking to industry experts is the best way to ensure that our products provide premium performance and exceed users’ expectations.  So, when we launched LC Power Tools and announced the UDOS 4-in-1 Random Orbit Polisher, we showed prototype models at both Automechanika Frankfurt and the SEMA Show in Las Vegas to gather feedback. Our product development team also talked to hundreds of detailers to get their take on the revolutionary UDOS design.

What did we learn?

First, we learned that the industry is ready for a professional grade tool that offers a User Defined Orbital Stroke.  UDOS will offer a variety of orbit choices and allow detailers to get more work done with just one tool.

There was one thing we heard over and over – how about a Rotary setting?  So, our engineering and design team made that happen. As a result, the 4-in-1 UDOS will now be a 5-in-1 polisher that offers both rotary and 4 random orbit choices.

Check out this quick video for a demo of the latest UDOS prototype at work, including all five options:

What are the Random Orbit Choices?

At launch, UDOS will now include four standard random orbit stroke length options in one tool:  8 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm and 21 mm. Detailers can choose the random orbit path that provides the best result for the job.

Any Other Updates?
We also heard lots of feedback on the look and feel of the tool, which we plan on incorporating in the final product.  Sign up for our email list at LCPowerTools.com to be sure you get the latest updates as we get closer to production.

When will UDOS be available?

The addition of the rotary function to UDOS has resulted in some associated changes that needed to made to the inner workings of the head.  We are close to finalizing this functionality. We plan to have UDOS available for purchase in the second half of 2019.
