1977 Jim Schneider purchased the Milwaukee Tanning Company and changed
the name to Lake Country Manufacturing. At that time the company
made four main lines of goods; sheepskin apparel, powder puffs,
leather dice cups and sheepskin buffing pads. A decade later Jim
decided to focus on the automotive buffing industry and sold off
the other parts of the business. Today,
Lake Country MFG., Inc. offers a full line of professional buffing
and polishing products for the automotive, marine, aviation and
composite industries. We are proud to be celebrating our 30th
year in business! Although recognized for our private label manufacturing
capabilities, Lake Country is also the industry leader in product
development. Lake Country currently holds 27 active U.S. and Foreign
patents and has 10 new patent applications pending at this time.
