Winter Ready - Wheels

It is no secret Winter has already made its mark in certain geographical areas. Wind, snow and ice have made their way through parts of the Northeast and Midwest and winter isn’t even officially here until December 21st!

One thing we can predict about winter is that our wheels will be put through some pretty harsh weather conditions enhanced by manmade corrosion producing chemicals just waiting to start gnawing on our shiny wheels.  One way to combat this is to polish the wheels out, and protect them with a sealant. Mothers PowerBall for example is perfect for accomplishing this quick and easy task. Chrome, painted or bare aluminum – simply wash the wheels; polish them out with the appropriate polish made for the type of surface you will be polishing. Lastly, applying your favorite wax or polish & sealant will give your wheels maximum protection at least for a while. If there is any micro pitting, never seen a wheel that doesn’t have it, it will be a great benefit by polishing the surface and protecting it…..

Keep the Blue Skies Up and Happy Motoring!
