Just returned from the NACE exhibition in Orlando, Florida. NACE ( ) serves the professional automotive service and repair industry with a particular emphasis on paint and body equipment (PBE). After several years of running concurrent conventions with SEMA in Las Vegas, NACE went back to its prior practice of stand-alone events at a different time and location. Next year’s show will take place in New Orleans.

The exhibitors were a mix of well-known national players and local/regional distributors showing multiple product lines. It was a good venue to visit with several of our private label customers that serve the professional PBE market. Like many industries, the body shop world is experiencing continuing consolidation at all levels from shop ownership to the supplier base. Everyone is working hard to stay in front of these changes.

Next on the schedule… the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada ( ). SEMA is the premier global trade event featuring specialty performance products for the automotive aftermarket.  This show has more automotive bling than any single place on the planet. The exhibition is organized into multiple categories including sections for collision repair & refinishing and restyling & car care accessories. There will be plenty to see for collision repair professionals, professional detailers and DIY enthusiasts.

Many of our key customers will be exhibiting at SEMA and we’ll be there in force to support them.
