Cleaning Exhaust Tips

When detailing a car, it is important to pay specific attention to the minor details. One thing often missed is the exhaust tips. The black carbon deposits should be wiped off with an old towel. Once they are wiped off, to spruce them up, use a metal polish on an old rag. This will help clean them up. If that doesn’t make them shine, using metal polish with the softest grade steel wool should. Just apply polish to steel wool, gently polish exhaust tip. Let polish haze, then buff off with a clean towel. The towel will get all black from removing residue, so let towel soak in bucket with water and detergent before throwing in machine. Cleaned and polished exhaust tips always add a great touch.
